Overview
Larry has accompanied Neil Young on every show of every tour he has undertaken since 1973. Neil has unusual tastes in guitars & amps, including a strobe tuner for each string on his guitar. Such extravagance may seem excessive, but both Larry & Neil insist on using the best tuners - strobes. The Peterson VS-1 was the only new addition to their tuner arsenal of six ST-11 Strobotuners (5 for Neil, one for Larry) for 25 years. Since then, Larry has come to rely on a VS-II, a StroboFlip and a StroboPLUS. Larry is also an accomplished steel guitar player and Carlos Santana´s choice of tech when it comes time to hit the road.
A professional musician himself, Larry's interest in and experience with tone enhancement and sound amplification has allowed him to work as a contributing writer for Frets Magazine's new product reviews column.
