I've tried many tuners over the years, but nothing beats a Peterson. I collect vintage strobe tuners and have been using a 1970's Conn together with a VS2 in my US setup, and a 1960's Peterson 450 in my European setup. That is until I recently got my hands on a nice new 490 whilst out on the Plant/Krauss Raising Sand tour. With banjo's, mandolins, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, fiddles, and two upright basses to contend with, I need a tuner that can handle them all and that I can be confident in. The 490 is perfect for the job, and the quicker I can get these instruments in tune, the more time I have to make Robert his cups of tea! I also love my new FlipTuner, which is great for when you have to condense your entire guitarworld into a briefcase.
