I started out with the older, metal Stroboclip tuner from Petersen. When the HD series was first introduced, I bought three of them and have used them ever since. While I had no issue with either the original Stroboclip tuner or the HD (after they modified the clamp to be wider,) I found the HD to be lighter and easier to pack. If I had any complaint about either of the tuners, it was the dependency on CR2023 batteries. Lo and behold, the new HDC Stroboclip Tuner is rechargeable as well as boasting multiple color display options. I won't say it can't get any better. But I will say if you have loved your Stroboclip Tuner in the past, the new HDC is everything the older versions were and much more!
