Yesterday I decided to try the tuner-first time using it, ever-through its microphone. I had my bass in my hands and unplugged with my tuner on my left knee. The mic is almost sensitive enough to pick up the unamped sound from my bass. I had to hold it at an angle for the string vibration to register. I wasn't expecting much but some of the time it registered and it was right on. It's a little intimidating to use at first, but it won't take ling to get the functions I really want/need out of it. It matches extremely well with my Snarks (one for each bass) so I can use it in my shop. I like that I can change the color for each different kind of instrument. I have 4, 5, and 6 string basses as well as 6 string guitars and a couple Bass VIs. now I need to figure out how toset a custom program for each-I am not sure that is going to be necessary.
