ADVICE: buy some super glue when purchasing the Strobe HD - clip-on turner

This tuner is amazingly accurate and as tuning unit, is probably one of the best on the market. However, it's a shame the physical design is so poor. In particular, the design and construction mechanism of how the unit attaches to the clip is incredibly flimsy. Using a tuner "live" means taking it on and off the instrument very frequently indeed. With this mind, I have to say that construction of this unit is not really fit-for-purpose when being used in a live environment. Mine snapped after 2 weeks and for the last year or so I've been trying to glue it back together. This "hack" normally lasts about 2 weeks before it breaks again! Solution for me was to get a floor pedal tuner (Boss) which is much more reliable for live work. So in conclusion, yes this is a good tuner - maybe for the studio - but IMO the construction is simply not robust enough for gigging musicians. I realise there is a protective box available but by the time I'd found that out, it had aleady broken two or three times. And frankly for the price you pay - and it's not cheap - you would have thought a protective case might be included?
